Slot Review:
Harvey’s
This was a really weird online slot. We can only
assume that Harvey’s is the name of an upscale steakhouse
restaurant, judging by the images on the reels. It’s a peculiar
choice for a slot game theme, we think. If Microgaming had executed
the concept a bit more handily, things might be different.
Microgaming is certainly capable of better, judging from their long
line of successful and fun-to-play punters. With this one, we get a
dull game that looks terrible and offers pretty much zilch in the
way of a jackpot – when the top bet is a full fifth of the pot, we
think that’s pretty crazy… and not in the good way.
Harvey’s is a five-reel, twenty-five payline slot game. Coin values
range from one cent to twenty cents, with max coins set at five
hundred. Assuming the maximum bet, that’s one hundred dollars a
roll. It’s up to you whether you think such largesse is justified by
a jackpot of only five hundred bucks, or two thousand coins. We have
our own opinion on the matter, but perhaps you don’t mind throwing
your money away!
The reels of the Harvey’s slot game are filled with the kind of menu
items that one might find at a fancy restaurant – Champaign,
escargots, and cheesecake. There are also letters and numbers
representing poker cards. Harvey’s features wild and scatter images,
along with the chance to win multiple free spins. There is also a
bonus game in which you can guess the color or suit of a concealed
playing card for extra cash.
