Slot Review: Hobo’s
Hoard
Hobo’s Hoard is another one of
those online slot games that probably should not be played by anyone
whose feelings are too easily offended. This slot title focuses on
the exploits of a hobo (a homeless person, or itinerant) as he goes
through his life. As far as rude punters go, this one is pretty
benign. We tend to like our pokies more fun and less tasteless, but
that’s just our personal, collective opinion!
This online slot title has five
reels, and fifteen paylines. Coin values start at one cent, and
range up to twenty-five cents. Max coins has been set at
seventy-five. The jackpot is just seventy-five hundred coins. That’s
just eighteen hundred seventy-five bucks on a maxed-out wager, which
is probably not worth the money in our eyes. At least a prize this
small is likely to be paid out often. This game comes to us from the
lesser-known online slot developer Rival, and is equipped with a
free practice mode, so that you will not necessarily have to part
with some of your bankroll to determine whether this game is right
for you.
On the reels of this slot, you
will see the bearded hobo of the title in profile, as well as living
in a cardboard box (we wish we were making that up!). You will also
see his shopping cart and a checkered bag on a stick. Various fruit
fill out the reels of this game: apples and oranges, cherries,
lemons, and –for some reason- purple, checkered pineapples. The
trash can is wild. The soda can with “Spins” on it can give you free
spins, if you get three or more. If you get at least three of the
“bonus” symbols you will be taken to the Pick a Person game, in
which you panhandle for extra cash.
