Slot Review: Genie’s Gems

It’s no surprise that genies show up a lot on the reels of online slot machine titles. These mystical beings are in the habit of granting wishes to mere mortals. Can you imagine being handed the opportunity to have anything you want in the whole wide world? Most of us would probably ask for more money. This Genie may not be real (it’s our understanding that none of them are!), but he can still manage to grant you that wish, if you are lucky!

Genie’s Gems is a five-reel, five-payline online slot game from Microgaming. Coin values range from twenty-five cents to five dollars, with max coins set at five. The jackpot is ten thousand coins, which makes the top prize a very desirable fifty thousand dollars! Of course, you will need to place the highest wager to be eligible for this jackpot, even if you were to land the winning combination.

The icons on the reels are large and colorful, in shades of neon and Day-Glo like blue, green, and red. You will see the genie himself, along with other symbols appropriate to the theme, like a magic carpet, the genie’s lamp, and the gorgeous gemstones that the slot game is named after. Letters and number fill out the rest of the empty spots on the reels. We have certainly played Arabian Nights and/or Aladdin themed slots that offered equally enticing jackpots as well as better design and graphics, but this ranks as a solid offering that should be enjoyable for at least a few spins!
