Slots and More at PA
Casinos
With the various casinos across the state gearing
up their slots for each opening, some have wondered what will be
next for the Keystone State? Governor Ed Rendell has already said
that he is interested in adding in various types of virtual games
such as virtual blackjack and virtual roulette, and people want to
know where it is going to end.
With New York and New Jersey already offering table games in
addition to their slots, it is only natural that Pennsylvania would
consider adding in table games as well. However, some residents want
to know why the rush, considering that slots were just legalized.
They say that they haven’t even finished bringing in all of the
casinos yet.
However, with Rendell looking like they are going to push through
table games, places like Presque Isle Downs and Casino are already
offering virtual versions of table games as they say that they are
just like regular slots. They say that once the real deal is
legalized, they will move to actual tables.
Some want to know what the big difference between table games and
slots are, and why they haven’t been legalized already. Others,
including those against both slots and table games say that this is
one more example of the government pushing something through that no
one wants. They say that they predicted that there would be expanded
gambling if they allowed slots and now it seems as if it will come
to fruition.
Rendell had told everyone earlier in the year that he was not
considering legalizing table games at this time, but with the State
House Majority Leader pushing to bring them in, it looks like the
state could get tables in addition to their slots before they know
it.
